Why did it all go right?

Come and join us

on Saturday 12 October

from 2.30 – 4.30 pm

in the Club Room, Conway Hall

Red Lion Square, WC1R 4RL

Lana Whittaker will talk about her research, looking at the reasons behind the success of the March for Justice and some thoughts on current progress on land reform. Lana has just completed her MA at Cambridge.

Ivan Nutbrown will give an update on the situation in India as the individual states take on responsibility for implementing the land reform agenda.

A year ago Rajagopal signed a truly amazing agreement on land reform with Jairam Ramesh, India’s Minister of Rural Development. The agreement set out the goal of

land for the landless and homeless in rural areas.

It also spelt out a clear framework for achieving this.

Last year Rajagopal said how important it was that the March for Justice had global support and media coverage.

And now . . .

Is there anything we can do – one year on – to support the struggle for land?

All welcome

Lana & Ivan’s talks will follow after the AVI management committee meeting which starts at 11.30am
